General information about the educational institution
The Fedoriv Vocational Education Center has a very long and interesting history, which begins on October 5, 1898. It was then that at a meeting of the Zemstvo Assembly of Oleksandrivskyi County (now the city of Zaporizhzhia), it was proposed to honor the memory of the famous patron, benefactor, and educator Baron Mykola Korf and build a modern school in honor of the outstanding teacher.
According to the plan, the school was to contain 5 classrooms, a room for relaxation and literary readings, a separate house for teachers, a bathhouse, a cellar, and a glacier. At that time, the cost of such a school was equal to the cost of ten schools, which were usually built at that time.
The zemstvo agreed to allocate only part of the funds, and the rest was collected from philanthropists and communities.
It was the Fedoriv community that allocated the largest plot of land and raised the most funds, so it was decided to build an educational institution here.
For almost 100 years, the educational institution has been constantly developing and enriching its material and technical base. During its existence, the school has graduated thousands of machine operators, drivers, laboratory assistants and accountants, as well as representatives of rather rare professions, such as silkworms and beekeepers.
An important milestone in the history of the center was the election of Andriy Zelentsov as director in 2000. The center quickly regained its glorious traditions and in a fairly short time became one of the best agricultural educational institutions in the Zaporizhia region.
Already in 2009, as a result of the program for optimizing vocational education, the Hulyaipil Professional Agrarian Lyceum was attached to the institution, and in 2016 – the Kuibyshev (Bilmak) Professional Agrarian Lyceum, and in 2019 – the Vilnius Professional Lyceum.
The Fedoriv Vocational Education Center employs a team of 122 employees, six of whom are defending the Motherland. The center is staffed by 30 teachers and 23 industrial training masters, who provide theoretical and practical training for students.
The center currently has 5 trucks (GAZ-SAZ, GAZ-53, GAZ-53A), 2 trucks (ZIL-MMZ), 2 tractors (YUMZ), 2 general-purpose tractors (T-150K), 2 tractors (universal-rowing, DT-75 tractor), 2 passenger buses, 2 cars for driving and a combine harvester (SK).
